How do you see how many questions you answered on IXL? ›

Using the Skill Analysis report

This report is broken down into two distinct sections: skill overview and class breakdown. In the skill overview section, you'll find a snapshot of the skill you've chosen. This snapshot includes the current status of every student and whole-class usage (questions answered, time spent).

Below are some easy ways to use IXL Analytics to monitor their progress and see where they might need help! To access these reports, simply sign in to your child's IXL account and click on the Analytics tab.

Students will need to answer as many as 10 questions correctly in a row to achieve mastery. For most skills on IXL, students will have to complete a minimum of 28 questions to earn a SmartScore of 100. When a student achieves a score of 100 on IXL, you can feel confident that they have truly mastered that skill.

This usually takes about 75-80 questions for math and 55-65 questions for English language arts, and can be done over the course of a few sessions. The IXL Continuous Diagnostic helps you assess your students' grade-level proficiency in both math and English language arts. Getting started is simple!

Scroll down to find the IXL accomplishments section. Here, you'll see an overview of the student's IXL usage (questions answered, time spent, skills practiced) and a breakdown of math and ELA skills they've worked on.

IXL's Diagnostic was found to be a good predictor of subsequent academic performance as measured by MAP Growth, with a correlation of . 85 in math and . 82 in ELA.

For instance, you can check out the Students Quickview to see how much time your students spent practicing in just the last week or over the last month. If the timer is too distracting for your students, it can be hidden, and IXL will still track their practice time from behind the scenes.

The six math strands are: Numbers & Operations, Algebra & Algebraic Thinking, Fractions, Geometry, Measurement, and Data, Statistics, & Probability.

Using the Student Progress report

After selecting a student, the report will display one row for every skill that they've practiced. Skills are organized by subject, grade level, and category. For each skill, you can see how much time the student has spent and how many questions the student has answered.

For each skill, you'll see the student's SmartScore, questions answered, time spent, and date of their last practice session.
