Chapter 1: "I wish I was there"
(Indigo Zaps POV)
I was watching my friends do their music video on the internet, it had gone viral and it was "awesome!" as Rainbow Dash would say. But as great as it was I couldn't help but be a little jealous,its not that i didn't want to participate in the video its that I couldn't. I was with my parents in Cloudsdale visiting my older sister Lightning Dust, she had been accepted into C.U ( Cloudsdale University) about a year ago and she doesn't get to come and see as often as we all wish.
(Flash Back)
"Why do we have to go to Cloudsdale anyway mum?"
"Because sweetie your sister really wanted to see us before the next term of uni starts, and its not like were doing anything else"
"Yeah but"... "Indy relax" my dad cut me off. "Lightning doesn't get to see us as much as she wants and it might be a long time before we get her again."
"Wouldn't be such a bad thing" I muttered. "What was that?!" my mum asked sharply. "Nothing!" I quickly reply.
It's not that I wasn't excited about seeing my sister, its just that she still treats me like I'm about 6 years old.
"I thought you'd be looking forward to seeing your sister again?" My dad asked.
" I am... Its just that she still thinks I'm a little kid."
"Its because she doesn't see you often kiddo, and to her you are a little kid" my mum answers.
About half and hour later we arrived at my sisters flat.
"Mum! , Dad!" Lightning dust screamed with excitement, whilst I rolled my eyes.
"Ahem!" I got her attention.
"Oh sorry Indy I didn't see you there!" Clearly I thought.
"Oh well come here and give me a hug!" I went to hug her and when I did she ruffled my hair.
"Get off of me you arsehole!"
"Indigo Zap, language!" my mum shouted.
"Sorry" I answered back
"Thank you , now lightning dear why don't you show us where we'll be sleeping"
" Of course mum. You and dad can have the spare room. And Indy can bunk with me."
"WHAT!?" "But I don't wanna..."
"Indigo..." my dad scolded.
"I mean yeah sure thanks Lightning"
When the sleeping arrangements had been made we proceeded to unpack, we were only staying for the weekend, but you'd think it was a week.
"So Indy hows school"? My sister asked
"Not bad"
"Is that it?"
"Its school Lightning what were you expecting? Rock music and fireworks?"
"I just thought you'd be a bit more enthusiastic about it thats all"
"Oh well Principal Cinch left , and Cadence took over"
"Why did Cinch leave?"
"Long story"
I decided not to tell Lighting about the hole magic monster and portal thing that happened at the Friendship games . It was too much effort and didn't think she'd believe it.When we'd eaten our pizza we went into the bedroom.
"So do you want a story before bed?"
"Ok first I am not 6. And second its only 9:30 Lighting!"
" I know but you look tired"
"Yeah I guess I am a little"
"See? Well good night"
"Night"
"Oh and Indy?"
"Yeah?"
" I was only joking about the story"
(Flash back over)
The more I thought about it the more I realised how much I had missed lighting. But I was still jealous of my friends and their music video. I wasn't very good at dancing like my friends but I could of brought something to the video.
"Indy dinner" my mum shouted.
"Coming!"
"Wheres dad?"
"He had to work late tonight sweetheart"
"Oh ok" my dad would often have to work late but I hated it when he did.
"So have you seen that new music vid on the internet?"
"Yes mum there my friends"
"Do you like it?"
"Of course I do"
"So Whats the problem?"
"Nothing"..."Its just that I'm a bit jealous that I wasn't in it"
"But you hate dancing Indy"
"I know but it would have been nice to take part"
"I know kiddo, but we had to visit your sister"
"I know. Anyway night mum"
"Night love"
When I got up to my room I had a look at the views on the dance magic video again, and the views had shot up.
"1000 views!? It only had 732 an hour ago!"
My phone then buzzed.
"Hello? Whats up Lemon?"
"Hi Zappie you missed one hell of a school dance." I actually don't care much about the dance but I was bit jealous that missed out on it being on a yacht this year.
"Yeah but I'm sure I'll survive"
"So how was Cloudsdale? Hows Lightning Dust?"
"There both good. Cloudsdale is has boring as ever,and Lightning never changes."
"Oh well thats good to hear." " So what do you think of the video?"
"Yeah it was pretty cool"
"Was that it?"
"Yeah sorry"
"Your to jealous are you Zap?"
"What no of course not"
"-"
"Ok yes I am"
"I knew it! Oh well night Indy"
"Night Lemon"
Wow that girl can talk. But she was my best friend. We met 2 years ago at my favourite arcade. She was busy rocking out to her music whilst playing on the "Wack a Mole" game, and when I tapped her on the shoulder to ask if I could have the next game she wacked me on the head and accidentally gave me a concussion.
(Flash back)
"Excuse me?"
No answer
"Excuse me?"
Still nothing
"EXCUSE ME!?"
"WHAT!?"
"SMACK!" the game hammer made contact with the side of my head.
"OWW!"
"Oh my god Im so sorry you made me jump" "Are you ok?"
"Yeah of course I am" I started to stagger a bit.
"You don't look very well. Come let me take you to the hospital"
"No thats ok I'll just get some ice at home" I staggered again.
"Its not a request come on!"
We were on our way to hospital and we started to chat
" Im Lemon Zest by the way" she introduced her self to me
"Indigo Zap"
"Well at least you don't have amnesia thats good"
"Yeah I guess" We were about 5 minutes away from the hospital and I threw up and my legs started to shake.
"Oh my god!" "Maybe I should call an ambulance!"
"No Im fine lets just continue walking"
We made it to the hospital and they checked me straight in
"Ok so you have a slight concussion. But you'll be fine in a few days"
"Thank you doctor"
"I'll walk her home"
We then arrived back at my house and me Lemon Zest went our separate ways
"See ya"
"Yeah see ya"
(flash back over)
" 2000 views!" I exclaimed in surprise
"Indigo don't shout its late!"
"Sorry mum!"
I couldn't believe it, the views had gone up by another thousand in an hour. As much as I hated dancing and I loved my sister, I couldn't but wish I was there with my friends.
I'm sorry its not very good, but I've been wanting to write this story for a while.
