Rainbow Dash makes a Prank Channel (2024)

Chapter 8: An offer you can't refuse

Leafy continued to make his way toward his destination as he surfed down the concert slope he was forming in front of him. He was in the middle of the desert, he had been called for some sort of meeting by the council he was apart of. Something about a rising problem.

He didn't usually like to attend these, but since this one was supposedly important. He'd figured why not.

He finally arrived in front a Rocky Mountainside, and he jumped off the slope and landed in front of the rocky wall. He then proceeded to slightly bang on the wall a couple times, before a secret passage opened up and he walked inside.

Leafy then proceeded through the small narrow hall and it eventually led to a slightly lit conference room with other similar YouTubers all around it.

“Did the CS:GO Skin insanity get to you? You're late” said Pyro.

Leafy huffed. “Oh...uh, sorry Mr.Pyrocynical. But you know I was just uploading a new video, no big deal”

Pyro rolled his eyes and Leafy focused his Attention to the center chair at the far end. “Ethan, Hila. Thanks for waiting on me”

Ethan and Hila both of H3H3 productions nodded as Leafy took a seat.

“You know why I asked that we should have this meeting right” said Ethan.

“We're exposing Keemstar?” Said NFKRZ.

“Rice man’s after us?” joked Pyro.

“No but it has to do with Pranksters, one particular one that's becoming pretty well known and Popular. And we've all made videos about her” said Ethan.

“Rainboom.TV? Oh yeah! Nice girl, kind of fun to mess with” said Leafy.

“Point being” Ethan started. “Now, I usually don't like YouTube pranksters, but the fact that's she's standing out from everyone else doing these prank her own way. I'll give her that level of respect, in fact I'd say her contents better then usually YouTube pranksters. Considering she has proved that her pranks aren't fake”

“Not sure if I'm following where you getting here” said Pyro.

“Well here's the thing dude. Quite a few of the other pranksters are out to get her, due to all attention she's getting” said Ethan. “And I'm not really okay with that, all of them trying to ruin what's she doing”

“I'll give you that Ethan, but what has she done to make us care?” said NFKRZ.

“Look, I'm just saying. No one on YouTube should have to go through that” Ethan started. “Getting harrassed, death threats, trying to ruin someone's channel. That's just screwed up man. All I'm saying is we should keep an eye on this”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

“Run Jake!” Screamed Rainbow.

“I'm trying! I'm trying!” Jake replied.

The two were running; down street, away from an enraged Rarity whose hair was now practically ruined, as it was now a very light yellow instead of its usually purple. Rainbow had thought playing a bleaching hair prank on Rarity would be the best possible thing. But now it could end up being her worst nightmare.

“How dare you mess with my hair Rainbow Dash!!!!!” Rarity shouted at the top of her Lungs.

The Two continued to sprint for their very lives, as they continued to attempt to reason with the enraged teen girl.

“Rarity stop! It's prank, it's just a Joke!” Rainbow explained.

Rarity only snorted in response as she was still on their tail.

“Oh I'll show you a prank alright! Come here you ruffians!” She shouted.

“Okay, I think we lost her” said Dash. “You got the whole thing on video right?”

Jake nodded. “The camera was a little shaky. But, Yeah I got it”

Rainbow signed. “Oh Jake. What would I do without you?”

“You'd Probably be in a lot more trouble than what you usually get into” he joked.

Rainbow smirked. “Uh huh, you keep telling yourself that”

Jake to chucked to himself and then handed the camera over to Rainbow.

“Anyways, I have to go. I told grandma I'd be home to help her with this new Stereo system she bought” said Jake.

“Well thanks once again for helping me as always” said Rainbow.

“It's nothing really, I mean I've really en-”

Jakes was cut off from the sudden embrace as Rainbow squeezed him into a hug.

“And thank you so, so much for helping me get to 100,000 subs” said Rainbow.

Jake's cheeks turned pink and he couldn't figure out how to respond. No one besides his family had really hugged him before. It felt good.

“Y-you're hugging me?” Said Jake.

“Well...Duh, I mean you're my friend after all and you've gone above and beyond to do what my other friends wouldn't try to put up with” said Rainbow.

Jake chucked. “Yeah that's true, I do put up with a lot don't I?”

“I'm surprised you can back after the first prank” said Rainbow.

The two shared a laughed and released the hug. They said their goodbyes and Rainbow proceeded to head in the opposite direction

A male with a white T-shirt, curly short brown hair, a black backpack and Sunglasses, Was riding down the sidewalk on a long electric skateboard. He was also holding a camera up filming himself as he rode along.

“So today I am just passing through on my way to San Francisco, but Right now, I thought I'd take the boosted board out and explore the city of Canterlot for a bit. You know, this city is just so mysterious and so beautiful. Honestly I wish I could do mor-”

The man was cut off by Rainbow Dash stepping out in front of him, coming around the corner from the city block. He suddenly veered off and fell off the Board, but running in the Rainbow in the process. The two crashed into the concrete sidewalk,

It took a moment but once she realized she had got in the way to make the man fall, she quickly got up to help him get up.

“Oh my god! Are you okay? I am sooo sorry” said Rainbow.

The man slowly say up. “Ah, it's okay. The good news is my camera and lens are fine. I would hate to have another broken lens for the third time”

Rainbow slowly helped the man up onto his feet. Once she got a more clear good look at him, she noticed that he kinda looked familiar.

“Hey do I know you from somewhere?” Rainbow asked.

The man pondered. “I think so, you might know me from YouTube. A lot people seem to know me through there”

Rainbows face lit up. “Yeah that's it! But I can't remember who”

The man smiled. “Does Casey Neistat ring a bell”

Rainbow snapped her fingers. “Yeah that's it! I've heard about you before. You recently won YouTuber of the year and my friend Jake watches your videos, or so he says”

Casey smiled. “Oh really he's a fan! That's awesome”

Casey then re-adjusted his sunglasses. “Say, aren't you that one Rainbow girl that quite a few people are talking about”

Rainbow blushed. “Oh me, hehe yeah that's me I guess”

“It's so cool running into another YouTuber, honestly you look no older than my son. So I think it's great that someone your age is getting pretty popular for making the content you love to make” said Casey.

Rainbow laughed. “Well, every videos an adventure alright. But I do enjoy it”

Casey smiled. “Say, if you want to. You can be in this video for a shoutout if you’d like”

Rainbow smiled back. “Sure why not”

Casey then lifted his camera in front of him to get his upper body into view.

“Okay guys, you never gonna believe who I just crashed the boosted board into”

He panned over to get Rainbow into view.

“Hi” she waved. “Also thanks for helping get to over 100k Jake, ya big dummy”

“Small world huh?” said Casey.

Casey then turned back to Rainbow and got on his boosted board.

“It was nice meeting you Miss Rainbow” said Casey. “But unfortunately, I have a flight here soon and I gotta go”

“Okay well, it was nice meeting you, see ya!” Said Rainbow.

“Okay, bye bye” said Casey staking off. “nice girl, she's pretty cool. Didn't expect to run into another YouTuber here, but I'm glad I did!”

As Rainbow waved at him skating off another figure with brown hair, wearing black hoodie and a orange shirt that said ‘Whatever’ on it approached Rainbow.

“Excuse me?”

Rainbow turned around to face the mysterious figure that had approached her.

“Hello, you may not recognize me. But I'm Brian from the popular YouTube prank channel ‘Whatever’, I was told you were here and how your a pretty good prankster yourself”

Rainbow immediately started squealing and jumping up and down with excitement.

“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!” She started. “It really is you! I could have sworn I recognized that voice and the face when I saw you. I'm such a big fan of your videos dude” Said Rainbow. “Meeting two YouTubers in one day! This.is.AWESOME!!

“Haha, it's always nice to meet a fan first hand” Brian said. “But, I'm not here to just meet you Rainbow. I've heard some pretty good stuff about you”

Rainbows enthusiasm and excitement only continued to increases. “You have?!”

Brain nodded. “Indeed, and lucky for you. Have this club or rather...a council of all these pranksters that you might already know, and we want you to join”

Rainbow was speechless. She was being invited to a group of YouTubers she had always watched and even looked up too some.

“You want me, to join your group?” Rainbow asked in awe.

Brain smiled. “But of course, however you'll need to go through an acceptance process”

“O-oh uhh, sure” rainbow stuttered. “What do I need to do?”

Rainbow was still finding it hard to control herself. This was incredible that she was being offered to join a group, but also getting a chance to grow her channel. She still didn't know, how they knew where she lived or where to find her, but that didn't matter to her right now. What mattered was making a good impression.

“Well you see Rainbow, you've gotten the letter or should I say package from YouTube containing your 100k silver play button and envelope from YouTube?” Brain asked.

Rainbow pondered for a moment. “Actually I think I got a package today in the mail, I haven't opened yet though”

“Oh that's okay, but I'll just go ahead and tell you a proportion of the letter says. You already know what the package contains I bet” said Brain.

Rainbow nodded and continued to listen.

“I won't go into much detail since we are after all in public, but a small jist of it is that every category of videos on YouTube has its own group of YouTubers and those YouTubers are part of group or council that excel in that category ” Brian started. “Some of us even get ‘special’ privileges after 1 million”

“Okay so it's like some sort of system?” Rainbow asked.

Brain heisted for a second. “Eehhh kinda yeah, but everything is explained through the letter in the package”

“Sounds kinda cool if you ask me” said Rainbow.

Brain chuckled. “Oh you don't know the half of it. Anyways, what you'll need to do for us to review over and possibly accept you into our council is…”

Rainbow leaned in toward Brian, too excited to hear what she needed to do to be accepted or at least strongly considered.

“We're gonna need to you prank Jake, you know the guy that films all of videos or most of them from what we've seen”

Rainbow frowned. “Jake? I could have sworn I already pranked him when I told my dad I w-”

“Was pregnant? Oh no, that was directed toward your dad, not Jake. But what we want you to do is prank him really good, like Something you've seen us or other Pranksters do” said Brain.

“And that's it?” Asked Rainbow.

“That's it” Brian replied.

Rainbow thought for a second. She did have a couple ideas that came to her mind, but would it be enough for them to say yes to her?

“Okay, soooo...do I just upload it to my channel or...”

“Oh no you don't have too” said Brain. “You can submit the video to me at any time and it doesn't have to be uploaded anywhere, nor will it if you choose not to. Here's my card”

Brian then pulled out a small orange paper card that said ‘Whatever’ on it and handed it to Dash. Rainbow took it from him, studying it for a minute before putting it away.

“I look forward to your submission Rainbow Dash, we’d love to have you” said Brain.

With that said, Brian turned the opposite direction and walked away leaving Rainbow Dash standing there thinking to herself.

Rainbow was in her room unboxing the package that was sent to her by YouTube. She had finally got the box cut open, and she pulled out a slightly smaller box that contained the silver play button plaque and the letter that was sent with it.

Rainbow of course opened up the box containing the plaque first. Once it was out of the box, Rainbow stared at it and then gave it a big hug.

“Oh Mr.Playbutton, I will cherish you forever. I know exactly where I'm going to put you” she said.

Rainbow then set the play button aside and picked up the letter that was also sent.

“So this is what he was talking about” Rainbow said. “Better open it and see what all the fuss is about”

Rainbow then ripped open the envelope and took the note that was inside a started reading it

Dear Rainbow.TV,

Once again congratulations on reaching 100k subs on YouTube. But unlike the previous note, this one will be addressed more seriously. In this note we will be addressing confidential information that you may not dispute to anyone other than the YouTubers that have 100k or more.

A few years back, when the copyright claim system was put into place, another system was put into play as well. The UN or United Nations came to an understanding that YouTube is a go to for everything now days. Weather it's a how to or even a funny video. People look up to YouTubers just like your subscribers look up to you.

The UN has decided to reward YouTubers for their content and even help the UN in dire situations. From where you are at right now everyone with 100k and over knows about this system. There are groups around YouTube for Content creates who excel in their category of videos, and who meet up every once in awhile to either discuss matters at hand or even help each grow.

However, once a YouTuber reaches over 1 million. They are given the privilege to special abilities to what they are known for in community or what their contents based off of, so to speak.

We here at YouTube know that this is a lot to take in, but rest assure what you are doing and what you will be doing in the future is a good thing for the world. Everything you do from here and since you even started your channel is spreading joy, hope and even happiness to the world and your fans.

Rainbow Dash set down the paper gently as she was trying to take in what she just read the best she could. She now knew that YouTube was more than just some video site for entertainment. It also made her wonder what she was getting herself into.
