Chapter 2: Gone Wrong

Sunset stared at Rainbow with a shocked and disgusted look on her face as Rainbow smirked back at her. There was no was she was going to take part in this.

“Okay….look” Sunset started. “It wouldn't bother me if you were pranking, Pinkie, Applejack or even Rarity”

Rainbow only continued at sunset, her facial express getting wider as Sunset continued.

“Heck I'll admit that Twilight was kinda questionable to begin with” Sunset continued. “But….”

She paused. “You are NOT pranking Fluttershy!”

Rainbows expression disappeared. “Why? What's the big deal?

Sunset couldn't believe what she was hearing, did she really not have a clue of how bad this could be? She then decided to reply in the most sarcastic way should could.

“Oh jee I don't know” Sunset started. “Maybe the fact...THAT YOU BOUGHT HER A HUNTING TRIP!!”

As serious as Sunset was being, Rainbow couldn't help bet chuckle at the words ‘giving Fluttershy a hunting trip’. “Oh come on Sunset it will be fun, trust me”

Sunset shook her head. “No, it won't be fun Dash. Your planning on giving her something you know will hurt her, and to make matters worse you're planning on giving it to her, for her birthday!” Sunset Exclaimed. “How in the name of everything holy do you think this will turn out okay?!”

Rainbow Dash shrugged. “Well it's not what I’m really getting her. It's just a prank, we’ll all get a good laugh”

Sunset turned her back to Rainbow. “Well I certainly won't, so you can count me out of this one”

“Common Sunset, please” Rainbow pleaded.

Sunset turned back to her. “No!”

Rainbow pondered for a second before trying again. “Please Sunset, I'll be your best friend”

Sunset signed. “We’re already best friends. But there is no way in hell, that I'm going to have anything to do with this prank. NOTHING AT ALL!”

“Hey guys and Welcome back to another AWESOME video, This is Rainbow from Rainboom.TV and today I have a crazy prank for you guys” said Rainbow Dash

“Celestia please smite me down” Sunset thought to herself. Wishing she didn't have to do this as she held the camera in front of Rainbow Dash.

“So another one of my good friends Fluttershy loves animals, and I mean LOVES animals. So today is her birthday party and me and all my friends are getting her something of course” she started. “Little does she know I'm actually giving her…”

Rainbow knelt down, off screen to pick something up from the floor below here. she then came back up holding a hunter's Education guide in one hand, and a book on Skinning and Cleaning animals in the other.

“The Hunters dream of a lifetime” Rainbow finished. “And there's more where this came from”

Sunset looked at Rainbow uncertain of her plan. “You do realize how screw up this is right?”

Rainbow Dash nodded. “But it's not really what I'm getting her, this is just part of the prank”

“But you do remember that if this goes bad, I won't be filming your next prank right?” said Sunset.

“TRUST me Sunset, I promise everything will work out fine” Rainbow then focused back on the camera. “Alright, let's do this”

Rainbow Dash and Sunset were now surrounded by all their friends, around a table with Fluttershy sitting down in front of a birthday cake with candles lit. Sunset kept a steady angle of the Camera on everybody she could fit in the shot. Maybe she should keep part of the footage for herself for memories,the non pranking part at least.

The seven girls then cheered as Fluttershy blew out the candles on the pink frosted birthday cake in front of her.

“What did you wish for?!” Pinkie asked.

Fluttershy pondered for second, thinking of how to respond. “oh...um, I guess I wished for another great year with my friends” she started. “And with my animals of course”

Pinkie then started jumping up and down with joy. “PRESENT TIME!”

Pinkie pie then reached behind her and pulled out a little larger then averaged sized, yellow wrapped box. “Open mine first!” She said placing it in front of Fluttershy.

Fluttershy nodded and slowly started to unwrap her gift. Once she started to get a better view of what it was, she gasped in surprise.

“A new hamster cage?” She said. “Oh thank you, I really needed this for tiny friends”

Pinkie chuckled. “You were going on and on the other day about how many new hamsters you got, so I thought you'd like it”

Fluttershy gave Pinkie a warm smile. “Well do, thank you so very much”

Rainbow Dash looked over at Sunset grinning, the expression started to make Sunset feel a little uneasy. Maybe she shouldn't have agreed to film this for Rainbow after all.

“You should Open mine next Flutters” Said Rainbow placing her wrapped gift in the table.

Fluttershy studied the wrapped present for a second. “Oh okay”

As Fluttershy started to unwrap the gift, Rainbow was finding it harder to keep a straight face as she got closer and closer to seeing what the gift was. Sunset was now worried to see what could possibly happen with the outcome.

Fluttershy had finally gotten the the present now fully unwrapped and was staring at the brown box curious what was in it, she then decided to reach inside a pull something out. The first thing she managed to get her hands on; she pulled it out for everyone to see that it was a weird looking knife with two loose grips. The shy girl gasped at the sight of it.

“Oh my...I-is that a knife?”

“A Butterfly knife to be precise” Rainbow corrected. “I thought the name of it would fit you”

“Wait” interrupted Applejack. “Aren't those illegal in some states?”

“Not where we live they're not” said Rainbow.

Fluttershy continued to study the weird knife before putting off to the side going back to the box to see what else is inside. “I appreciate the gift Rainbow, but honestly I don't think I have much use for a kn-”

Fluttershy stopped once she picked up the other items in the box. She was holding the books that Rainbow Dash had told Sunset about the other day. Fluttershy was struggling to process how to react to what exactly she was given from her friend.

“I-I…..is this?”

“Yup!” Said Rainbow. “We're going on a hunting trip Fluttershy!”

Fluttershy shuddered at the word hunting. “H-h-hunting trip?”

Everyone around the table couldn't believe what they were seeing. Was Rainbow actually being serious here? Sunset didn't know how much longer she could keep this up, so to avoid feeling any more guilty than she already felt. She set the camera down on the table facing Fluttershy and Rainbow, leaving there out of her hands.

“Heck yeah Flutters, these books have all you need to know” Rainbow started. “Everything from Hunters safety, to the animals we can legally hunt. Everything from Deer, squirrels and even Rabbits”

Fluttershy made a soft yet audible squeak like noise. “R-rabbits?”

Rainbow Dash nodded. “Oh yeah, heck not only do ayou get the Hunters Ed book. But you also get how to Skin the animals once you've killed them”

Sunset could tell by now Fluttershy was beyond mortified at this point and could see her eyes getting blubbery. How far was Dash going to keep this prank up?

“Skin?! Kill?!”

“Well yeah what else are you supposed to do to an animal once you've killed it” said Rainbow. “Hey maybe that Butterfly knife might come in handy aft-”

Rainbow couldn't finish her sentence before Fluttershy stood up and started to run out of the room with her hands in her face, Sobbing to the thoughts that Rainbow Dash just described to her.

“Fluttershy stop! It's a prank, that's not what I got you!” said Rainbow.

The rainbow haired girl decided to run on after her. “Fluttershy come back, it's not real!”

“Real smooth Rainbow Dash” Rarity said in a sarcastic tone.

“That was a prank?” Pinkie asked.

Sunset signed. “Unfortunately yes Pinkie, that was a ‘prank’ according to Rainbow Dash” Sunset started. “She did the same with Twilight last week.

Sunset then turned to Twilight. “I never got a chance to apologize for that, I was filming it after all”

Twilight smiled. “Oh it's okay, It's because of that prank that I now have everything from our US history book memorized. I can practically get an A on every assignment without reading the book!”

The five girls nodded. “Ah suppose that's one way to look at it” said Applejack.

“Wait a sec…” Pinkie stared. “If you were filming the prank of Twilight...you were also filming this prank of Fluttershy!”

Sunset threw up her hands in defense. “Hey look I didn't know she was going to do THAT. Yes I was in on the prank, but keep in mind when Rainbow Dash says she's going to do this certain prank. She doesn't give me any detail, she just says film it and what she's doing”

“But why would you still agree to film these ‘pranks’ if you don't like to?” Rarity asked.

Sunset signed. “Because she pays me, she shares the ad revenue with her from whatever video she uploads to her YouTube page. That's the only reason why I agreed in the first place”

The girls then looked at the camera that was still recording the the empty seat where Fluttershy was sitting. “Well ah certainly hope this” Applejack said pointing at the camera. “Doesn't get uploaded online”

Sunset grabbed the camera and stopped the recording, switching it off. “Believe me, I would hope Dash doesn't upload this. And I already told her if this didn't go well then I'm not filming any more of her videos”

“It didn't look like it went well at all” said Twilight.

“Yeah, that wasn't a prank. That was just being mean” said Pinkie. “And people actually watch stuff like what just happened?”

“You'd be surprised” said Sunset. “But as of now I'm done! No more filming Dash’s pranks”

“Better early on than never darling. But what about Rainbow?” Rarity asked.

Sunset chuckled. “Believe me, she'll get it through her head eventually how some of these pranks are unnecessary. She probably just now got the message that pranking her friends and especially Fluttershy out of all of us, is a bad idea”

“Let's hope this little ‘pranking’ phase won't last much longer” said Rarity.

The five girls nodded in agreement and started to head out of the room to go check on their shy friend.

Rainbow dash was in her room, on her computer browsing her channel. Checking on how it's been doing for the past couple of days.

She was about to click on her newest video when suddenly her door burst open and standing in the doorway was an enraged Sunset shimmer.

“WHAT THE HELL IS?!” She yelled pointing at her phone that displayed Rainbow Dash’s newest video. “Birthday hunting trip gift Prank (gone wrong) (almost lost friend) (runs away crying)! You uploaded it?!”

Rainbow Dash shrugged. “Well...yeah, it was perfectly good footage. I couldn't let it go to waste”

Sunset just stood there stunned, dumbfounded at what Rainbow was saying to her. “Wha-really?! How could you upload that? You know how humiliating that was for her, why would you upload it?”

“She said it was all cool in the end, she forgave me and I gave her my real present. Everything turned out okay” said Rainbow. “See check out how big this is getting. It's so AWESOME!”

Sunset pondered for a moment, still a upset about the situation. But obliged and walked over to Rainbow and her computer. Once she was by Rainbow’s side, Rainbow clicked on her video to show it had a little over three million views.

“T-three million views?! In a span of 2 days?!” Sunset exclaimed.

“I know right!” Said Rainbow. “Everything on my channel has been blowing up lately, it's so cool”

Sunset contained to study the video, but then noticed the ‘like to dislike ratio’ was even with each other. “Ooooo Rainbow have you seen your like and dislikes? There are about as many people who like your video that also dislike it”

Rainbow looked over to the green and red bar carefully and then back to Sunset. “Oh yeah….should we check the comments?”

Sunset shrugged. “I suppose so, if you haven't checked them out already”

Rainbow then started to scroll down to the comment section. “I haven't really but let's read a few”

The girls then started down the list of comments, some of them were good, but others were not so good.

“‘That was hilarious Dash, keep it up!’ Says superslayinlegend34, ‘your such a bully, how could you do that to that poor girl!’ Says megamanfan888” Sunset said.

Rainbow Dash chuckle nervously. “Maybe there's some better ones, keep scrolling”

Sunset nodded and continued to scroll, but stopped at a long comment that made her jaw drop. “Oh wow...I don't know if I should read this”

Rainbow dash looked at her friend closely. “How come?”

“Do you really want me to read it?” Sunset asked.

“Yeah, I'm curious” said Rainbow.

Sunset shimmer signed and started reading the comment. “‘Wow! you flat chested bitch, how cruel can you be to another person like that? If I were you I would delete the video, delete my YouTube channel, and hang mysel-”

“OOO-KAY that's enough of reading comments for one day!” Rainbow exclaimed.

“No kidding” said Sunset closing the page out.

Rainbow then folded her arms and made an unpleasant pout like noise. “Can't believe he called me flat chested”

“That's what you're concerned about?” Said Sunset. “Rainbow a lot of the non threatening comments have a point, you need to chill it with who you prank”

Rainbow looked over at her friend. “I suppose so”

Sunset signed. “Look I don't care who you prank, but just keep away from people like Fluttershy and our friends too while you're at it”

Rainbow frowned at Sunset. “I guess you're right”

Sunset then started to head for the door. “As for me, I told you after this I won't be filming your next prank if this went bad. So you're going to have to find someone else”

Rainbow Dash immediately jumped up and looked at Sunset with puppy dog eyes. “What?! Why?”

“I just told you why. You'll find someone, and if you next video isn't like some of the others you've done in terms of hurting others. Then maybe I'll come back, but I can't keep doing this” said Sunset.

“Well who else is going to go around filming me?” Rainbow Dash argued.

Sunset chuckled. “You'll find someone, just be opened minded. I think there's someone else at school who might have a YouTube page too, just search around”

Sunset the proceeded to walk out of Rainbows bedroom door leaving the rainbow haired girl standing, pondering on what to do next.

Rainbow huffed as she walked over to her bed and fell back on it. “Great….right when I had another great idea for a prank”

She thought for a second before sitting up and looking out her window. “Better start scoping around”
