How to Grill the Perfect Steak on the Ninja Foodi Grill

Cris here.

I love me a really good rib-eye steak. I prefer for it to be cooked medium on the inside and nice and charred on the outside. Mikey and Addie both prefer their steaks to be medium rare. So when we got our Ninja Foodi Grill, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share how to grill your steak the way YOU want it.

How Long Do You Cook Steak?

Cooking times for steak will depend primarily on two factors:

  • Thickness of your steak
    • If you have a thin steak, you will have to really watch (and reduce cooking times) your steak or you will always turn out well done.
    • If you have a thicker steak, you may have to increase cooking times by a minute or two to reach desired doneness.
  • Desired doneness (rare, medium, well done)
    • You will need to add a minute or two for every level of doneness that you prefer.

You can use these methods for both outdoor grills and the Ninja Foodi Grill, however, cooking times may vary.

You made me hungry. My wife and I bought a Ninja Foodie Grill the other day and I watched how you cooked a couple of steaks on yours. In an hour or so I am going to cook for my wife and i. She is at work and I want to shock her when she gets home. I really hope the foodie works out because we like simple foods that can be cooked fast. Hopefully the foodies will do this.
