Driving information for Glasgow
Glasgow International Airport is 8 miles west of the city centre. Our branch is located inside the car rental centre at the airport which is just a short walk from the terminal building. Glasgow Central Station is within an easy walk of our city centre branch while Glasgow Queen St Station is just a short taxi or bus ride away.
The centre of Glasgow has tricky one-way systems, especially in the business districts of Blythswood Hill and Anderston, along with bus lanes and pedestrianised areas. The good news is that these can be easily navigated with one of our sat navs.
There is limited street parking in the city centre but double check you are not in a residents' zone. Underground and multistorey car parks are available across Glasgow. Our staff are always happy to advise on local driving when you collect your vehicle.
Edinburgh is just over an hour away from Glasgow by car. The easiest way to get there is by hopping on the M8 for around 40 miles before taking the A71 exit. Stirling is around 40 minutes away on the M80, while we’d recommend heading on the A82 for a day trip to Loch Lomond.
