Is the Royal Guard Set good? ›

It consists of the Royal Guard Cap, the Royal Guard Uniform and the Royal Guard Boots. Wearing the full set says that it only decreases usage Stamina of Link's charge attack but it also reduces the swimming dash stamina cost by 50% and climbing jump stamina cost by 50%.

The Royal Guard Armor has no base effects, but when the full set is equipped and upgraded to at least two stars, you'll get a Charge Attack Stamina Up set bonus, lowering the stamina requirement for a charge attack.

Updated August 24th, 2023: The Royal Guard Uniform in TOTK can be rather beneficial in the early game for players who are looking for a way to boost their overall defense. That said, finding the Royal Guard Armor in Tears of the Kingdom requires players to venture into the ominous Hyrule Castle.

The Royal Guard Uniform can be found within the Guard's Chamber. To access it, go through a series of gates found near the First Gatehouse. Use Ultrahand to move the two gates up and access the inside of the castle. Go up the stairs to the Guard's Chambers and the treasure will be on a platform surrounded by gloom.

Where to Find the Phantom Armor in TotK.
