Bushnell's one-woman stage show has closed after the Sex and the City author tested positive for COVID.

On Dec. 22, producers of Bushnell's Is There Still Sex In The City? announced "that it is impossible for the production to continue" after the writer/star contracted the disease.

According to a press release, the case was first detected on Tuesday night right before she was scheduled to go onstage.

The show officially opened in New York City on Dec. 7 at the Daryl Roth Theatre and played its last performance on Dec. 19.

A national tour is still in the works, as are plans to take the show to Europe, Asia and Australia.

The tennis star made the announcement on social media on Dec. 20 after returning to Spain from the Mubadala World Tennis Championship exhibition event in Abu Dhabi. He said he had tested negative in the days leading up to his positive result.

"Hi all. I wanted to announce that on my return home after playing the Abu Dhabi tournament, I have tested positive for COVID in the PCR test that was performed on me when I arrived in Spain," Nadal wrote in a series of tweets, translated from Spanish.

Nadal said that he is "having some unpleasant moments but I hope that I will improve little by little." He added that he was quarantining at home and had informed those he'd been in contact with that he was positive for COVID-19.

The firefighter and reality star shared a trio of photos to his Instagram account on Dec. 21, with one showing his partner Astrid Loch in a hospital bed with their 1-month-old son August resting on her chest.

"Tough week for @thewendtgang," Wendt wrote in the caption. "Our family has COVID and it is not taking it easy on any of us."

He went on to reveal that his entire family "are in isolation until after Christmas."

Then, Cobb County police confirmed to PEOPLE that Price was reported missing in mid-September after she was released from the hospital.
